Garden Ceremony 

Couples can choose from several settings: The Fernery, perfect for year-round wedding ceremonies or an outdoor wedding in our Blessing Garden surrounded by natural beauty and views across the Clonakilty countryside. The garden wedding space was described by Confetti Magazine as "One of the most romantic places in Ireland to say 'I do'."

The Fernery is nestled in our gardens with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, soft draping, and chandeliers create an effortlessly stylish space that needs little extra decoration. This beautiful light filled space allows nature to be part of celebrations throughout the year. Early feedback has described The Fernery like 'stepping into Tuscany'.

Fernhill is a true all-in-one wedding venue - your morning styling preparations, your ceremony, drinks reception, dinner and accommodation are all in one place. After your ceremony, guests can enjoy a drinks reception in the Fernery. It is hard to put into the words how incredible our wedding day was. There was never a question that couldn’t be answered and they went above and beyond for us in every way. So many of our guests have contacted us to let them know how amazing the grounds were, the service and the food. The drinks reception was incredible, the gardens are to die for and the buggies up and down from the marquee to the hotel were a lovely touch. I still cannot believe we got to get married in such an amazing venue.
