Ciara and Cian's Sunny Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Fernhill

Ciara and Cian's Sunny Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Fernhill
Cian and Ciara looking back
Cian and Ciara first met at a friend's housewarming party in 2013. On a crowded roof Cian came offering Doritos and Hummus and the rest, as they say, was history. Fast forward to 2021 they bough their first home, a very part of the proposal to come.

Cian and Ciara at alter
In December 2022 amidst a busy schedule of work, college deadlines, weddings and hens, Cian proposed to Ciara. After meeting through Cian's friend Butler and buying a house on Butlers Lane, it only made sense to ask for her hand in marriage in their home. When she arrived back from a hen he surprised her, having made up their bedroom with roses and candles. He added a special touch with a poster of the two of them designed and illustrated by their friend Tadhg. She said yes, and the special day was rounded off celebrating with all their close friends and family.

Cian and Ciara Bridal Patry
Choosing Fernhill with its gardens, marquee and beautiful decor with everything in the one venue was a no brainer. Having spent a lot of time in Clonakilty growing up it holds a special place in Ciara's heart. Getting married in the gardens is something she will never forget. They wanted a fun and relaxing day with friends and family and that's exactly what they got in Fernhill.

Cian and Ciara Walk
On the day they had Cian's two nieces as beautiful flower girls. The sun shone down on the ceremony in the Blessing Garden. Everyone was in great form, chatting and having the craic. They had friends and family join them from Cork, Kerry, England Germany and Canada.

Cian and Ciara Marquee
For the drinks reception they had an illustrator, Lucia in the marquee. Having Jen Lyons for the Ceremony and Reception music created the chilled atmosphere they desired. They had their speeches in the Marquee and then headed up to the main house for dinner.

Cian and Ciara Dancefloor
The Ian Hendricks band had the guests and the couple alike up dancing all night. One of their favourite parts of the day was their first dance, a version of Sh-Boom by The Chords.

Looking back Ciara said she always felt in safe hands. Fernhill's wedding coordinator Ann, was always on hand to answer any questions and nothing was ever too big or too small. "The O'Neill family and their team were so welcoming and made us feel like our wedding was the most important wedding. The attention to details from all the staff was second to none."

After the wedding they had a mini moon in Ireland for a few days where the sun continued to shine, They are hoping to go somewhere abroad next summer for their honeymoon as something to look forward to.

Sending Ciara and Cian all our love and best wishes for a happy and fulfilling marriage.
