Jo & Alan had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the lagoon in their local church of Rosscarbery. The couple originally met in college and were friends for about a year before the lovely Jo took off for a year of living in Argentina and then France. Alan flew out to meet Jo in France and this is where the story began!
Jo & Alan got engaged in Paris - how romantic! 'Having gotten together in France, it was only right!', they told us. After spending the morning walking through and around Versailles, Jo said 'Yes' at sunset with the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the distance.

Jo & Alan told us they had wanted their wedding day to be: 'Fun! We said from the outset we didn't want stress and to focus too much on small things. We had a lovely relaxed day thanks to Ann and all our fabulous vendors. They really understood what was important to us and that was being with friends and family. Fernhill took care of everything, even things we didn't think of! The band (The Pat Fitz Band) were fantastic at getting even non-dancers on their feet. It made the night so enjoyable!'

We asked Jo & Alan what the important aspects of their wedding were from the very beginning, they told us: 'We didn't want any stress, we wanted to be able to enjoy the day and have fun with our friends and family and Fernhill really made that happen.'

'We wanted to get married locally and Fernhill has a great reputation. They have been in the business a very long time, you hear the word 'wedding' and Fernhill House & Gardens comes to mind. They are organised and professional'.

'Our advice to anyone considering Fernhill, is not to worry and let Fernhill take care of things!'

Following their wedding, Jo & Alan took a road trip across Canada, one week in Quebec and then two weeks in the West in the Rocky Mountains and Vancouver. 'We had a fantastic time. We saw all the sights, and hiked, a lot! We both love exploring new cities and being in the great outdoors, our honeymoon was the perfect blend of both.'
