The lovely Christina first met Stephen at a party in a local pub in Donoughmore. They didn't know each other but after stealing Stephen's last wedge, Christina definitely made an impression! A few years later they met again in college & after months of Stephen pestering, Christina agreed to go on a date. 'A daughter and a house later, the rest is history!'
Christina tells us that the surprise proposal took place on her birthday during a night away, after walking around in the rain they had gone back to their room and Stephen came to show Christina a very important video from their daughter Paige. Paige asks 'will you marry Daddy?' Christina turned around to find Stephen on one knee with a beautiful ring!
Christina tells us, 'it was important to us to get married, whether it was big or small, and spend forever together. We were surrounded by our closest friends and family and we had the most fun loving day and night! Our daughter Paige was a big part of our day. She is 6 and loved every minute of the day!'
'We knew Fernhill was the venue for us as it was the full package from the get go. We wanted to get married outside and have a place that did ceremony, pictures and afters all in one spot. From the moment we step foot on the grounds we knew it was the place for us!' Christina shared the following advice to future couples, ' Just relax, everything will be sorted for you! Ann and the team go above and beyond and they make sure that the day is perfect and goes off without a hitch.'
Christina and Stephen went on honeymoon to Rhodes in Greece for 10 days and said it was absolutely fantastic! We were delighted to hear you enjoyed your well deserved honeymoon! We wish the three of you every happiness for the future and look forward to welcoming you back to Fernhill again soon.
