Sarah & Danny's Stylish July Wedding

Sarah & Danny's Stylish July Wedding
We were delighted when the lovely Sarah decided to take part in our real wedding blog. From the very beginning Sarah had a very clear style in mind, the time, effort and attention to detail is simply stunning and we are thrilled to be sharing their gorgeous photos & tips with you.
Sarah & Dan first met 10 years ago and from the beginning they were drawn to each each. Sarah tells us that 'we started dating when I was about 16 and he was 18 and we dated for a few years. We were young and it was long distance and so we ended up parting ways. However, years later we would meet again completely randomly on a beach and our love story continued.'

We love a surprise proposal & this one certainly didn't disappoint. 'Dan surprised me in my hometown of Wexford on a lovely beach on the east coast of Ireland. He built an arch, decorated it with flowers, fairy lights and built a camp fire. My best friend had to make up a story to get me down to the beach which I fell for. As I stood on the pier overlooking the beach I finally saw the real reason I was brought there.'

Sarah tells us how she 'wanted the wedding to be a true representation of my style. I've always loved little details so candles, flowers, signs, the overall colour scheme were all really important to me. I would say the overall look of the wedding was modern-boho-romantic (well those are the three words my florist and I would say when describing the flowers!) I loved that we could get married outside in the gardens which I think represented the style of wedding we both envisioned. But most importantly the overall feel of the day was a celebration, getting married in front of all our loved ones and celebrating our love together with them was amazing. 'I really wanted to have a ceremony outside, my wedding dress and the little details were a priority. Also the venue was crucial in bringing the whole vibe of the wedding together.'

We asked Sarah & Dan what made Fernhill 'the one', they told us 'we fell in love with the venue because of the gardens, the fact we could have our ceremony outside was always a dream and Fernhill has the most gorgeous ceremony space outside in the gardens. I loved that each part of the day had a different space. We got married in a secluded garden area, the drinks reception was in an outside marquee in another section of the gardens and finally the dinner and dancing was in the main house in a gorgeous fairy lit dining hall.'

Sarah gave us advice to any future couples planning their wedding day at Fernhill, 'honestly we were so happy with how everything turned out. The girls looking at our wedding were so helpful and understanding, they really cared about all the details that you envisioned. The venue itself is a dream and your guests will love it so just try to take it all in and enjoy the day.'

Sarah & Dan jetted off to Greece for a two week honeymoon and told us it was 'a dream'.
