There are many hidden gems throughout West Cork that are waiting to be explored. West Cork stretching from Kinsale in the East to the Beara Peninsula in the west there is many areas to be discovered in between.

Timoleague/Courtmacsherry/Kinsale

Visit the picturesque Timoleague Abbey then take the costal road drive to Kinsale taking in all the costal views along the way you will pass through the famous little town of Ballinspittle, which is known for its moving statue. Kinsale has lovely shops and cafes to grab a bite to eat. While in Kinsale why not visit the historic Charles Fort. 

Rosscarbery/Glandore

Head to the lovely village of Rosscarbery and see all it has to offer. Then take a drive to Glandore and grab lunch overlooking the bay.

Schull/Mizen Head

Head to Schull a grab a bit to eat in the charm town. And then head to the most southwesterly point in Ireland Mizen Head

Skibbereen/Lough Hyne

Head to the town of Skibbereen and check out the shops and boutiques they have to offer. Then head to the amazing Lough Hyne where you can hike to the top to see the scenic views across West Cork.

The Islands: Sherkin/Cape Clear/Heir Island

See what it is like to live on an island and take a short ferry ride to one of the islands off the coast of West Cork. Sherkin Island, Cape Clear, and Heir Island.

Bantry/Glengarriff/Garnish Island

Why not head to lovely Bantry for the day and visit Bantry House which overlooks the bay. then take a spin to Glengarriff where you can get a spot of lunch before you take a short ferry trip to visit the breath-taking garden Garnish Island has to offer.

The hotel's staff were very welcoming. Fabulous location overlooking Clonakilty from the west. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very relaxing. The food was delicious and everything homemade. A great hotel to chill-out in.
