Fernhill Gardens – A corner of Paradise......

Who would ever guess that such beautiful gardens exist in the heart of Clonakilty beneath Fernhill House Hotel, a serene setting to meet up with relatives and friends and to pass the time of day; a little corner of paradise. There can be few more agreeable locations in the summer for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea than in the tranquil gardens of Fernhill House Hotel.

Our hotel is stunningly set on 4 acres of beautiful gardens. The garden contains many varieties of native trees, shrubs and roses. Snow drops, blue bells and crocuses carpet the gardens during February, followed by daffodils in March. You will find yourself within a haze of colour over the summer months. The rocky woodland and flower garden climbs steeply up at the front of the hotel. The cherry blossom in Spring is a sight to behold and the babbling stream that cascades down into a striking water feature offers a wonderful backdrop for a quiet contemplation or those all important photographs.

Our dedicated gardener spends many hours tending this beautiful landscape ensuring that no rose is left un-pruned and that these immaculate gardens, provide the perfect backdrop for the most memorable photographs, adding a unique dimension to your wedding day.

Our exclusive Marquee is an additional feature of our gardens. It offers room for 160 guests to sit or 250 to stand. The inside of our marquee is elegant and sophisticated, with a solid floor, silk lined walls, spectacular chandeliers and a flat lawned area next to it for your guests to spill onto on a sunny afternoon. The Marquee makes your wedding day or family occasion extra special.
